Wireless Transmitter for People Counters
Description
The Traf-Sys People Counting Wireless Transmitter is the
interface between a People Counting Device without
integrated wireless capability and our wireless data controllers.
They use a proprietary wireless protocol to communicate to the data
controller. The wireless communication will not interfere with a
nearby 802.11 connection.
How it works
Traf-Sys People Counting Devices that do not have
built in wireless capability can be connected to and powered from
the Wireless Transmitter. The Wireless Transmitter will both
provide power to the People Counting Devices and receive
the data from the People Counters where it will be
collected locally as a "running total" count. This total number is
then sent to the wireless data controller on a regular interval
between 10 and 30 seconds. The wireless data controller, then logs
the data to determine at what time the counts occurred.
Features
- Local display shows total counts for "In" and "Out"
traffic
- Indoor radio range: 600 to 1200 ft
- RJ-45 jack for direct connection to sensor(s)
- Multiple daisy-chain connected People Counting
Devices can be connected to a single Wireless Transmitter
- Internal antenna
- Available in 900 MHz and 2.4 G Hz frequencies
- CRC-16 error checking for status and counter data
Application
For any Traf-Sys People Counting sensor that does not have
wireless built-in, you will need a Wireless Transmitter for each
entrance. The Traf-Sys Wireless Transmitter works with the MIU-1000 and data controllers and can
be connected to either a Thermal
Sensor or Surround Sensor.
